Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four kids born August 9th, 1976 in Beaumont Puy de Domme. Audrey's parents, both a dental dentist as well as a teacher, understood and supported their daughter's enthusiasm for drama and theater at a young stage. This support was enough to thwart her initial desire to become an animal scientist. At the age of a young lady rising to the heights of fame was swift and ended with the beginning of her successes. Prior to beginning an acting career she participated in Jeunes Premiers which was a French television show that sought to find talent sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. Also, she was awarded the the title of Best Young Actress in the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was raised in an Catholic home, and was a member of the religious services, despite having was a student at school at the Institut Catholique de Paris. As well as her acting profession, she pursued a modelling career. It is her turn to be the face of L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and is sometimes referred to as the Chanel Muse. Recently, at Arles Arts Festival, Arles Arts Festival, she showed a collection of photographs under the heading Superficial. Her work focuses on celebrity in addition to popularity. It also features portraits of herself and special focus on journalists who have closely scrutinized Tautou following her rapid popularity following Amelie. Audrey Tautou became a star after her international fame was established with her first role in Amelie Poulain from Le Fabuleux Destination d'Amelie. Amelie made international waves in the field of box office, and also won numerous awards across the world. The film is still the top-grossing French language film to date in the US. The film's success led to a huge increase in production. Tautou went on to star in numerous films, including British dramatics, such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Long Sunday of fiancailles. Also, she starred with Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
