April Lockhart composed her debut song, Different at the age of twelve. The singer spent much of her hours at the age of 14 creating songs, and practicing her music. It's not the only aspect that makes her unique. Lockhart acknowledges her handicap in her Instagram profile, but she doesn't place it in the spotlight of it. The message? We all have multiple aspects and that we are all unique and that we're far more than our physical selves. It's not my intention to let that make me feel like I'm to be an influencer with a disability which is what I'm talking about because there are so numerous other aspects of me Lockhart states in video form from her house in Nashville. This doesn't have any effect on my everyday life. I go about everything normally and I've found my own method of adjusting circumstances. She admits that she's been through phases with her body at times having a feeling of insecurity when wearing particular types of clothes that showed off her arms. She wears whatever she wants and proudly shares photos of herself in the outfits she wears on social media. Self-love, she says is a process. I'm not entirely sure that you'll ever make it to the finish line. But I think that's with all people, regardless of what their fear may be.
