The children were sleeping in the crib while I was strapped with an infant on my back. Ha! Everything was starting to fall in place, yet we were nowhere near done. In this undertaking, I was prepared to spend a considerable amount of money and spend time shopping for my dream home. For my budget to remain in good shape, I went out with three of my boys to look for deals at estate sales. Our routine was to walk around auctions and garage sales on Sundays and Saturdays, and buy a variety of pieces old and newly created. It was my job to spend the day on the drive working on painting or sanding. My passion for furniture restoration started with an appearance that was similar to this. The issue was not whether our house had already been decorated. I had an area at the market to sell objects. My collection eventually grew enough that the area I had was inadequate. In my own home, I started hosting open houses in which more than 1,000 people were able to come in and purchase any product they wanted from the first floor in just one weekend. It was exactly what I needed at that time. After a couple of months, my phone started to ring. I was getting requests from people requesting for assistance with home improvements and design of interiors. A majority of them were people who visited my home at my open house for furniture. I started taking on some clients one at a time working at my own pace but it wasn't too time before I was running several accounts, and I was operating a complete home renovation business. When I first heard about your home remodeling business I was astonished. When I look back, it makes me giggle.
