Laura Linney is an American actress who is famous for her portrayal of vulnerable but strong characters. As a teenager, she spent her summers at her father's house, she developed an interest in the theater. After studying in Brown University for a while before transferring to Juilliard School to study acting. Her career began on Broadway following her graduation, she made her debut in films within two years. She also appeared on TV following a year. Her appearances have been on a variety of shows on stage, television and film shows since that time. There were many awards she received throughout her career such as several Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. However, in spite of the array of awards the theatre is still her primary passion and she has continued to appear both on screen and on stage.
